Korg SP250 Review

korg-sp250The Korg SP250 is a unique electric piano in that it actually takes the place of many pianos all in one, and it is lightweight enough for you to take anywhere with you. If you are in the market for an affordable digital piano or some kind of electric keyboard, one that is full-featured but also comes with a sustain pedal and a stand, then there really is no better choice for you on the market today than the Korg SP-250.

What Does the Korg SP-250 Have?

The first thing that you will notice about this Korg piano is that it has the exact look and feel of a real piano, with 88 keys that have a RH3 graded hammer action. For people who have grown up playing acoustic pianos, this is very easy to adapt to.

This also has two headphone jacks so you and a friend can listen to what is being played, and that also makes it the ideal practice keyboard, especially for people who live in smaller quarters.

Besides the main black version of this piano, there is also a white version of this keyboard available.

What About the Sound?

This has multi-level stereo sampling so you will get a high-quality reproduction throughout the entire range. The Korg SP-250 has just about everything you could need including all sounds, sound effects, and an onboard sound system and pedal in one.

Included in the sound set are five pianos, seven electric pianos, three church organs, three jazz organs and the following instruments: harpsichord, marimba, vibraphone, and an acoustic guitar. When you begin to play around with this, you will see that there are even more sounds, too.

Is This the Keyboard for You?

After reading this Korg SP250 review, it’s obvious this is not the keyboard for everyone, and if you are looking for high-end recording capabilities or onboard multi-tracking, then this might not be your first choice. But for a home piano or a stage piano without the programming features, you won’t find anything better for the money than the Korg SP250.

The people who have reviewed this all state that it is the real grand piano key feel that they like as well as the fact that the sound is reliable and hearty throughout all ranges. All in all, this is a stunningly designed and fully functional digital keyboard for almost all uses.
